CTH YAG is a new crystal material which lases at 2080 nm. Maybe found in medical, military and meteorological applications.
Since it contains Chromium, it will show Red under a Chelsea Filter. Color looks like Chrome YAG out there.
Note that we don't know about anything about
Thulium or Holmium, or even Chromium as far as toxicity, but as in cutting/trimming/grinding/polishing/etc. of ANY gem material, would recommend taking precautions
such as wearing a mask and cleaning up after working with it.
Along with two 1+kg Pulls of Lab Grown Alexandrite, we managed to obtain two small crystals of Lab Grown Chrome YAG along with a 1.5kg pull/crystal of
CTH ((Chromium, Thulium and Holmium) YAG which we had never heard of previously, not that we follow Lab Grown Material in general.
We've had to visit a friend/cutter to slice any of this material, and in slicing the CTH YAG, 3 slices of the pull, creating 4 total slices of this material, we lost
about 160grams even with a thinner diamond blade and saw than what was used in the past to slice 8 pieces from a large Alex Pull in the past. These 3 slices as well as
making 1 slice in the Alex pull, has spent the new blade purchased for this project.
Below you will see all 4 slices of this CTH YAG, showing the weights of each at the top of each slice. Ideally, we would like to sell full slices so that there is
no additional work of trimming the slices, cleaning up, cleaning the pieces, weighing up each piece, marking them, doing photos, creating html code, etc.
However, we will trim one of the slices sometime in the not too distant future.
Current options for purchasing this material would be to purchase one of the available slices at a very attractive low price or wait until we have trimmed
a slice and have smaller pieces for sale (at a higher price per gram due to loss in trimming, time involved in prepping the trimmed pieces for sale).

Shipping is by USPS Priority Small Box Shipping and includes Full Insurance for only $20 - Will quote price for International Shipping.
Returns will be in full less the cost of Shipping/Insurance and any fees/charges not refunded due to payment apps.
A small window may be polished on the material should it be necessary, but no other modifications should be performed.
