 Custom Jewelry Created Using All That Glitters Gemstones!

All That Glitters custom designed pieces are never seen by the public because once completed, they go immediately to the customer making the purchase.  We haven't been offering custom designs to the public over the recent years.  Our remaining  inventory of our gemstones in settings, which consist of a few custom pieces, settings purchased from major manufactures of settings or even modifications of these settings, can be seen on the following page:  <  All That Glitters Jewelry  >

So what does a customer do with a loose gemstone once purchased?
There is no need to rush into doing anything!....  The gemstone will not look any different weeks, months or even years and decades from now, if you do nothing at all at the present time.  Time gives one the opportunity to consider what they would like to do with a gemstone.  One doesn't have to know exactly what will be done when making a gemstone purchase from All That Glitters, but careful consideration can be performed with time, visiting stores and goldsmiths, seeing what one likes and dislikes, whether one wants a ring or pendant, or even something else like a pin....  Maybe diamonds should be used, even colored diamonds or other colored gemstones; possibly white gold, yellow gold, rose or green gold, or a combination of different colors.  The possibilities are endless!  Purchasing a gemstone should not be a concern if no designs are in ones mind already.  Another option is to set it very simply with the intention of creating  something more elaborate in the future.  In this way, one may enjoy the piece at the present time, knowing that in the future, it will be re-designed into something even more spectacular!

We tell custom goldsmiths and retail stores the following when they contact us and with a particular request in size, color and shape in mind for a customer -
Our services are used best in the following way:
  When you see something that is unique and appeals to you, purchase it immediately for a customer you already have in mind or for future sales where one can design something around it.  If the goldsmith doesn't already have a design in mind, place it into the case while they think about it - a customer might have some ideas of their own!  The fine gemstones that All That Glitters sells have not been decreasing in value/price.  Having these gemstones in the vault for future sales is indeed better than money in the bank.  Bottom line is, when you see a gemstone that TALKS TO YOU, purchase it.  Decide in the future what will be done, but you will always have the gemstone and it is up to you when you will move forward and what you will do - passing on it typically means that we will not have a similar gemstone in stock in the future if the person who had first refusal on it - passes.....

The setting of a gemstone is like framing a piece of art - if it is not an appropriate marriage, it doesn't work!  If you have a fine gemstone, it should be married with a finely designed ring which enhances the gemstone.  One does not expect to walk into a million dollar home and expect to find assembled pressed wood furniture.  Our fine colored gemstones should live in custom settings and not calibrated mountings.  With custom work, the gold is typically heavier, the quality evident, and one has a say in the final outcome and will not only own an exclusive gemstone, but an original design also.  Just the fact you own an All That Glitters gemstone, depending on the piece, you already possess something that will not and can not be found in most fine quality stores, and that is also true of some of the largest, best known famous jewelry stores!

Below are examples of what some of our customers have done with their All That Glitters Gemstone Purchases!   We have attempted to credit the goldsmiths/designers if known.   Enjoy.......

No.  This is NOT a Blue Topaz.  It is
another fine exceptional gemstone from All That Glitters - an AQUAMARINE and it is not overly small or large and has a  wonderful saturated color.   This is a premium example of what an Aquamarine SHOULD look like!

An Imperial Malaia Garnet  set into a pendant.  This unique piece was designed by Eileen Mac Donald, and can be worn as shown, but  has the option to hang the opposite way with the gemstone on the bottom.  This allows the owner to have two very different looks.
What is Imperial Malaia Garnet?  It was named by the owner of All That Glitters and the first gemstone appeared in Gems and Gemology Magazine.  To learn more, visit the following page:

Note that many businesses call some of their garnets Imperial Malaia, but none have proved to actually be Imperial Malaia.  So beware...

A large 3+ct Imperial Malaia Garnet, faceted from the initial several pieces of rough that All That Glitters initially obtained.  We have purchased faceted gemstones and other rough, but none were as nice as the original  few pieces.  In the past,  the ATG customer who owns this, had visited stores and no one had guessed what the gemstone was - including many gemologists.  Some had thought it a rare colored diamond.  Others thought they had similar material, but when it was compared, nothing was close!

Our largest Imperial Malaia Garnet at about 3.5cts.  Set in gold with diamonds.  Frank Lau Jewelry

This uniquely colored Zircon is what we have been calling Super Blue Zircon.  Fine deep blue Zircon is not too common to begin with, but this unique color is exceptional and far more exclusive and rare.  You can see another example of this further down on this page.    Note the information stamped on the inside of the ring pertain  to the gemstones found in the piece as well as the purity.  This is 18kt gold, the center Zircon weighs 3.56cts and the total Diamond weight is 0.42carats!

This is the largest Super Blue Zircon that we have had.  This is an absolutely exquisite piece in person.  The color reminds us of the finest blue Tourmaline, and possibly some variations of the true Paraiba Blue Tourmaline from the Sao Jose da Batalha Mine!  Again, the information pertaining to the weight of the gemstones is stamped on the inner band, as well as the purity of the gold and the designer/manufacturer - Frank Lau Jewelry;
